About Us

This site was developed and founded by a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist with a certificate in Surgical Assisting who has a B.S. from the College of William and Mary in Chemistry and graduated from the Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technology program offered by the Eastern Virginia Medical School and Old Dominion University. She has been certified by JCAHPO as a COMT in good standing since 1996 and worked for 9 years as the Supervisor of a team of ten technicians in a cutting-edge ophthalmology office. Additionally during her time as a COMT she has taught several continuing education courses to ophthalmic personnel as well as trained numerous ophthalmic personnel who have become JCAHPO certified on the COA and COT levels. We offer continuing education courses which are accredited by JCAHPO for the number of continuing education credits listed as well as training courses for beginning to intermediately experienced ophthalmic assistants and personnel.
